Unionville is a nice, pretty little suburb in Markham, just above Toronto. But its charm is that its also a historic street.
Lots of the stores are styled to be old-fashioned on the outside, although the insides are usually posh stores with jewellery and clothes.
According to my father, who is a wedding photographer, he takes photos here often, and we even saw an engagement photoshoot while we were out taking these photos, so I believe its not of the abnorm to be carrying around a bunch of cameras and crew here.
Also at the very end of the street (or the beginning since that’s where the station is) is this lovely pond and there is a little gazebo near it. Also those stairs on the right take you to a place called Dragon Bistro, which has Wing Wednesday where if you buy a lb of chicken wings you get a lb for free. I haven’t tried it but dang that sounds like a good deal to me.
Aaaand, here’s what I went to eat. Old Firehall Confectionary. THEY HAVE CAKE, CHOCOLATE, ICE CREAM, SLUSHIES, MORE ICE CREAM, CANDY POWDER, ICE CREAM CAKES, CANDY DISPENSERS, ICE CREAM CAKE COATED WITH ICE CREAM (not even kidding)
Also the stores all look really nice, and taking pictures in front of stores seems pretty okay, I mean, that engagement photoshoot was infront of some fancy clothing store so I don’t think we’ll get chased out.
There was also this really posh Indian restaurant. That fancy curry.
This is less of a review and more of me screaming about food ok.
